Consultant Urological Surgeon with Special Interest in Robotic and Laparoscopic surgery and all procedures for benign prostatic enlargement and stone disease.
The standard surgical treatment of Benign Prostatic enlargement causing bladder outflow obstruction leading to retention of urine or other urinary symptoms is transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). However, relatively high morbidity associated with TURP has led to the development of a range of minimally invasive techniques, some of which use thermal energy.
Mr Chakravarti put me totally at ease explaining the procedures prior to my operation. It was very obvious that he had a lot of experience in this field which I found very comforting. Following the operation he was on hand to make sure that the highest levels of aftercare were provided which even extended beyond hospital.
I cannot praise, or indeed thank, Mr Chakravarti enough for both his skill as a surgeon and his compassion as a human being during a particularly stressful period when both myself and my wife required operations for cancer within a matter of days of each other. Every detail of my own operation was explained to me
The care provided by Mr Chakravarti was both discreet and very professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him after the first class treatment I received. It is reassuring to know that such help is at hand."
Mr Chakravarti was always considerate and caring during my surgery treatments, a good listener and at all times explaining my treatments fully in detail. This I found very reassuring. Following surgeries he regularly turned up in my room and was attentive and very kind
